RecordMeeting records the call. Qualitify tells you how it went.
One is a Chrome extension that captures a WhatsApp Web call and writes you a transcript. The other records every call your agents take — on their computer and on their phone — then scores them, spreads reviews fairly across the team, and reports who is actually being reviewed. Here is the whole difference in one table.
| Point | Qualitify | RecordMeeting |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Teams whose agents are measured on calls | Individuals and general meetings |
| Records WhatsApp calls on a computerTheirs is a Chrome extension that captures WhatsApp Web; ours is a desktop application. | ||
| Records calls from a phoneTheir page states that WhatsApp calls made from the iOS or Android app run outside the browser, and that the mobile app is not supported. | Android: the SIM line, WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber | |
| Works without a browser tab openTheirs requires WhatsApp Web in Chrome on a desktop or laptop, by their own instructions. | ||
| Voice-only callsTheir WhatsApp page describes video calls — one-to-one and group — and does not say whether voice-only calls are supported. | Not stated | |
| Transcription and AI notesTheirs, clearly. Transcripts, AI meeting notes and asking questions of a recording are on every plan, including the free one. We do none of it. | ||
| Scoring against your own criteria | Weighted criteria, with critical failures | |
| A review queue and fair sampling | ||
| Notes pinned to a moment in the callA transcript is searchable; a pinned note is a reviewer saying "here, at 2:14, is the thing". | Transcript | |
| Reviewer calibration | ||
| Coaching with a follow-up date | ||
| Coverage reporting per agent | With the sample size behind every average | |
| Daily call targets per agent | ||
| Roles that separate what people see | Owner, reviewer, agent — private notes stay private | Team workspace on the top plan |
| Team members on the mid planTheir Pro plan lists one team member; team features begin on Enterprise. | Every seat you buy | One |
| Automatic deletion of audioTheir security page says recordings can be removed at any time and deletion requests are honoured immediately; it states no retention period. | On a schedule you set | Delete it yourself |
| StorageTheirs, clearly. | An allowance per seat | Unlimited |
| Recordings used to train AI modelsTheir security page does not address model training. It does say they will not sell your information. | Never — it is in the terms | Not stated |
| Other meeting platformsTheirs. We record work calls, not meetings, and have no plans to be a meeting recorder. | Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams |
Everything in the RecordMeeting column was read from their own published pages — their WhatsApp, pricing and security pages — on 19 October 2026. Where a page does not address something, this table says “not stated” rather than assuming. Our column is read from this platform’s live settings, so it is what the product will actually apply. Their pages may have changed since: check them before you decide, and tell us if we have something wrong.
The four differences that decide it.
The table is long because the products overlap in exactly one place — both can record a WhatsApp call on a computer. Everything that matters is on either side of that.
A phone call is a call
Most teams that sell on WhatsApp also ring people on the SIM line, and the customer decides which. A browser extension cannot reach either of those: their own page says calls from the mobile app run outside the browser. Our Android app records the SIM line, WhatsApp, Telegram and Viber, and labels each call with the app that carried it.
A recording is not a review
A folder of recordings tells you nothing until somebody listens and writes down what they heard, against criteria everyone agreed. That is the part that takes a product: a scorecard with weights and critical failures, a queue, notes pinned to the second, and a reviewer whose own consistency is measured.
Fair coverage, not convenient coverage
Left to themselves, reviewers listen to the short calls and the loud complaints. Sampling spreads reviews across your agents and reports how much of each person’s work was actually heard — so a quality score comes with the number of reviews behind it instead of standing alone.
Built around a person, not a tab
One account per agent, collecting from one computer and one phone at a time, so every call is attributed to a person rather than to whichever machine had the extension installed. Roles decide what each person sees, and a reviewer’s private notes are not readable by the agent being reviewed.
What a team actually pays.
Their cheapest paid plan costs less than ours and includes one team member, so the per-seat comparison only starts to mean anything on the plan where their team features begin. On their pricing page that is Enterprise, at $15 per seat per month billed yearly. Ours is $50 a month for 5 seats, then $10 for each seat after that.
| Agents | Qualitify | RecordMeeting Enterprise |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | $50/mo | $75/mo |
| 10 | $100/mo | $150/mo |
| 20 | $200/mo | $300/mo |
How you pay us
A term bought up front — one, three or twelve months — with no card kept on file and nothing that renews on its own. When a term ends, service pauses until you buy another; nothing is deleted while you decide. The trial is 14 days and up to 100 recorded calls, with no card.
How you pay them
A subscription, monthly or yearly, cancellable at any time with access until the end of the period, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans. Their free plan keeps your oldest five recordings unlocked and locks newer ones until you upgrade.
Their prices are the ones shown on their pricing page on 19 October 2026, at the yearly billing rate — their page also offers monthly billing at a higher rate and advertises a saving for paying yearly. Ours are read live from this platform’s settings. Currency conversion, taxes and any local fees are yours either way.
When RecordMeeting is the better buy.
Four cases, and they are not hedged. A comparison page where the other product never wins is a page nobody should believe.
You want a transcript, not a score
They transcribe, write AI notes, and let you ask questions of a recording. We do none of that. If the job is "what was said in that meeting", they do it and we do not.
Your calls are on Meet, Zoom or Teams
They record those. We record work calls on WhatsApp and on phones, and we are not planning to become a meeting recorder.
You are one person
A freelancer recording their own calls does not need sampling, calibration or coverage reporting, and should not pay for a team product. Their single-user plan is cheaper than ours and will suit you better.
Nobody is going to review the calls
A quality platform is worth having when somebody is paid to listen and coach. If that person does not exist yet, the honest advice is to start with a recorder and come back when they do.
What we would want to know before buying ours.
- A phone recording is a microphone recordingAndroid gives no app the audio of a call, so our Android recorder uses the handset microphone. Both sides are captured and the far end is quieter. Every call says which recorder sent it, so a reviewer knows what they are listening to.
- The desktop app is Windows only todayA macOS build is configured and not yet published. If your agents are on Macs, the honest answer is the Android app or not yet.
- No transcriptionReviews are somebody listening. If you need searchable text of every call, we are the wrong product today.
- Google Play will not carry a call recorderTheir policy forbids it, so the Android app is installed from the APK on your own dashboard, or pushed through your device management. Android asks the agent to confirm it once.
- Consent is yoursRecording calls is lawful in many places and conditional in others, usually on the people on the call knowing. We make recording visible to the agent and keep the record, and audio is deleted automatically after 90 days. What your jurisdiction requires is not something a product can decide for you, and nothing here is legal advice.
